Mobile Base with Omnidirectional Cameras

We test out mobile base with a set of two omnidirectional wide-angle cameras that provides a 360? field of view.
The watcher can interactively choose the view area using a mouse or with the Oculus Rift, experiencing a full immersive telepresence.
The wide-angle cameras provide richer information than conventional cameras and provides real-time visual feedback.
The PAL Mobile Base navigates autonomously allowing the research in many areas. It can be used for surveillance tasks and for telepresence in dangerous environments.
